Bus Éireann Announce Additional Services Ahead of Electric Picnic Festival

Special Services have been announced for those travelling to 2023’s Electric Picnic Festival

Heading from Belfast to attend Electric Picnic? Bus Éireann have announced special services from Dublin to Stradbally, Co. Laois!


Bus Éireann is pleased to announce special services for people attending Electric Picnic on Friday, 1 September 2023. With the anticipation building and the countdown on, Expressway will operate special Electric Picnic services from Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick direct to Stradbally, Co. Laois. 

A single bus ticket will cost €30 with a return bus ticket costing €45. Tickets can be purchased from each location or directly on the Expressway website. 

“Electric Picnic is an extremely popular festival with over 70,000 people expected to attend each day. We are excited to be bringing people from Dublin, Limerick, Cork, and Galway to this highly anticipated festival and want to make sure their journey is a safe and pleasant trip. We would advise customers to plan their journey ahead and book in advance at www.expressway.ie to avoid disappointment,” said Alan Brennan, Senior Manager, Business Development, Bus Éireann.

Dublin 

The first service departs Custom House Quay, Dublin to Stradbally, on Friday 1 September at 07:00 and then operates every hour at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00 and 18:00.

On Saturday 2 September and Sunday 3 September, services will operate from Custom House Quay to Stradbally at 10:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.

Return services from Stradbally to Custom House Quay on Saturday 2 September will operate at 12:00, 14:30 and 23:00 and on Sunday 3 September at 02:00, 12:00, 19:00 and 23:00.

On Monday 4 September, return services from Stradbally to Custom House Quay will operate at 02:00, 07:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00.

 

Bus times for this festival are subject to change and people should check out www.expressway in advance of travel. Customers should also note that Bus Éireann will have a ticket van at Portlaoise and Portarlington rail stations, for customers travelling to Stradbally. A single bus ticket costs €6 and a return bus ticket is €12.
