The companies Ski Manager, Roberto Comsa, reported: “We are seeing an increased interest in the Balkan’s as a ski destination, with sales increasing year on year. Our Belfast charter flight is almost 80% sold for this winter with many departure dates already sold out. Dublin is selling above expectations with both Bulgaria and Romania proving very popular.”
He continued “Irish skiers appreciate great value for money, and the Balkans certainly offer that with some ski holidays at half the price of the more expensive resorts in Austria, Italy and France. And once in the Balkan resorts, it becomes very clear the skiers money goes a long way with lunches on the slopes sometimes cheaper than an a single drink in other countries. It is very simply great value for money.”
