Virgin Atlantic have announced a new partnership this morning at the BTA conference in Belfast.
The airline will join the SkyTeam.
The 18 member airlines will become 19 with the new addition of Virgin Atlantic.
This powerful team covers more than 170 countries, five continents, more than 15,000 flight departures every day, and more than 675 million passengers every year!
Airlines now under the SkyTeam umbrella include:
- Air Europa
- Air France
- China Airlines
- China Eastern
- Shanghai Airlines
- Czech Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- Garuda Indonesia
- ITA Airways
- Kenya Airways
- Korean Air
- Middle East Airlines
- Vietnam Airlines
- Xiamen Air
Speaking at the conference, Tom Maynard of Virgin Atlantic explained how the alliance of Virgin Atlantic and SkyTeam are “working together to provide more seamless travel experience… we will be expanding our network to a global network, with 15,000 daily departures to over 150 destinations”
