Boeing has finally agreed to compensate the families of victims killed in the 737 Max crash in Ethiopia

Boeing has finally agreed to compensate the families of victims killed in the 737 Max crash in Ethiopia.

The manufacturer has now formally admitted responsibility for the crash.

In a statement, Boeing said: “By accepting responsibility, Boeing’s agreement with the families allows the parties to focus their efforts on determining the appropriate compensation for each family.

“Boeing is committed to ensuring that all families who lost loved ones in the accidents are fully and fairly compensated.”

The Ethiopian Airlines flight (operated on a MAX 737 aircraft) crashed near Addis Ababa just after taking off on March 10, 2019.

It was the second similar crash in months leading to the grounding of the 737 Max fleet.
