Now 10 years on and the eleventh TUI Sensatori Resort is set to open in Rhodes and the birthday will be marked across all locations.
A brand new TUI Sensatori scent has been developed, lavish new entertainment productions and new themed children’s activities will be introduced as well as new sports and wellbeing classes. Sensory fuelled 10th birthday celebrations will also be held at all TUI Sensatori Resorts on September 27.
The name Sensatori is a combination of the Japanese word Satori, which loosely translates as ‘wow’ and sense; and the concept is designed to do just that – wow the senses. Aroma is key to sensory stimulation and in 2018 a new scent has been specially created and will be used in all TUI Sensatori Resorts. Featuring a delicate balance of ingredients, including soothing, warm and rich Amber and cleansing, fresh and invigorating Cyclamen, guests will experience the scent in a variety of ways – from subtle sprinklings on pillows to reed diffusers and aroma burners to the essential oils used in the spa.
From high impact work-outs to the ultimate in unwinding relaxation, guests can opt in to a balanced programme of sports and wellbeing activities across all resorts. New for 2018 is Partner Yoga, allowing guests to strike a pose with their partner or friend, Fitness Pilates, a dynamic work out with bands and balls, Barre Fitness which uses the fundamentals of ballet to create a powerful workout and Mindfulness Meditation which uses the principles of mindfulness to promote relaxation. Following the launch of aqua boarding in 2017, expect new aqua board classes in the programme including something for the little ones. As always guests can expect a multitude of sports to choose from, state of the art gym facilities, complimentary Personal Training and every kind of fitness and wellbeing activity for adults, children and families you can think of.
TUI Sensatori Resorts are renowned for vibrant and exciting entertainment and four new shows will open across all destinations this season. Staged in purpose designed performance auditoriums guests can expect professionally produced shows every day of the week. New for 2018 are High Voltage, a flamboyant celebration of rock music; Lifted, featuring gospel style interpretations of pop classics: Soul Town, a high energy homage to sweet soul music and Circo De Los Suenos a resplendent contemporary circus themed variety show. For younger guests the hugely popular, effervescent Play House Live! is back as well as the buzzing Bugzical, a show for all the family.
The latest resort in the TUI ‘handpicked’ portfolio promises five-star luxury in a stunning beach location overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. With 330 rooms, from family suites to more swim up rooms than any other TUI Sensatori Resort, the new Rhodes location has been sensitively designed to appeal to all. There are five pools including one for adults, one for children and one for activities, plus guests can opt for a swim up room for a more private poolside experience.
The seven gourmet restaurants include an Italian eatery, an American inspired venue, contemporary Greek cuisine as well as a global buffet restaurant serving exciting new dishes every night. In addition there are seven bars including two pool bars, a beach front lounge for adults and a piano lounge. The Resort will also boast an exclusive multi-sensory experience in the main lobby. Elegant hanging pods will provide unique elemental themed sensory environments, based around the Greek Gods, featuring sound, colour, aroma and film content. Guests will also enjoy exclusive entertainments with dazzling aerialists appearing in pop up shows around the resort, an immersive cinema experience and state of the art optical illusion show.
