ANITA Question Why UK Government Has Not Considered Same Support as Ireland for Travel Industry

Following the news that the Irish government is giving the aviation sector €90 million in funding, local travel industry body ANITA says they have to “ask why the UK government has not considered support on the same level”.

Damian Murphy, ANITA Chairman commented: “Of course we welcome the announcement that the Irish government have stepped up to the their aviation sector and it is worth noting that the travel industry in the south of Ireland continue to receive support.

“We have to ask why the UK government has not considered support on the same level here. Now more than every our own executive need to take note and bring forward the much needed support package for our sector.”
