ALL Travel Testing Expected To Be Scrapped

As Government officials prepare to reduce Covid-19 measures,  it is expected that fully-vaccinated travellers will no longer need to test upon their return to the United Kingdom.

If this change goes ahead, it is expected to be announced on January 26th, when the Government is likely to lift the Plan B restrictions which are currently in place.

Grant Shapps, the Transport Secretary, is said to support the removal of testing upon arrival, a change which will strengthen the travel industry and ease the financial pressure which the current system places on travellers.

Speaking to the The Times, a close source to Grant Shapps reported that, “we are looking at removing all Covid tests for vaccinated travellers by the end of January, which is likely to coincide with the review of the Plan B measures on January 26.”
