Multiple airlines flying to and from the UAE has given an update on flights as the region moves into a further day of airspace closure.
Etihad Airways confirmed all flights to and from Abu Dhabi will remain suspended until 14:00 UAE time on Wednesday 4 March. This moves from a previous estimation of Tuesday 3rd March.
Qatar Airways as also confirmed flights will remain suspended until the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace. A further update will be provided on 04 March by 09:00 Doha time (06:00 UTC).
Emirates has also confirmed its flights will remain suspended until further notice.
A number of flights departed Dubai and Abu Dubai last night (2 March) allowing passengers who’s travel arrangements had been disrupted to return home.
Airspace in the region remains closed at this time as a precaution.
Passengers who have travelled to the region or are booked to travel to the region are encouraged to await information from their local travel agent and respected airline.
