Airline Boss Suggests Travellers May Need ‘Vaccine Passport’

International air travellers may be required to carry a 'vaccine passport', says airline boss

Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce said he’s been talking to his counterparts at airlines around the world about the possibility of a “vaccination passport” for international travellers.

Speaking to Australia’s Network Nine television, Mr Joyce said: “We are looking at changing the terms and conditions to say for international travellers that we will ask people to have the vaccination before they get on the aircraft.

“What we are looking at is how you can have a vaccination passport, an electronic version of it, that certifies what the vaccine is, is it acceptable to the country you are traveling to.
