Air New Zealand Trial a New Type of Biccy With their Coffee!

Air New Zeland trial a new eco friendly, eidable cup! Twiice's coffee cups are edible and taste like vanilla flavour... Giving a great new eco friendly twist to 'coffee and a biscuit'

The airline is trialling vanilla-flavoured, leakproof holders as part of their forward thinking waste reduction measure. The airline are focused on reducing long-term waste from the ground, to the sky.

Air New Zealand are currently dishing out around eight million disposable cups each year which go to landfill. The new venture into the edible cup is part of their vision to reduce waste and be more eco aware. The cups are crispy vanilla vessels made of wheat, flour, sugar and egg (with a dash of vanilla) and come with the assurance that they won’t be afflicted with a soggy bottom for the duration of your drink!

Twiice co-founder Jamie Cashmore said: “It’s terrific that Air New Zealand has partnered with us to showcase to its customers and the world that a little bit of Kiwi ingenuity and innovation could have a really positive impact on the environment, while at the same time delivering a really cool and tasty customer experience.”
