Aer Lingus Aims to Rebuild Transatlantic Route Network

Aer Lingus has reiterated its commitment to rebuilding its transatlantic route network between Dublin Airport and the US.

When International Airlines Group (IAG) bought Aer Lingus in 2015, it backed a strategy to connect passengers travelling between Europe and North America at Dublin Airport.

Over the next five years the airline built up a strong route network between Ireland and the US, flying to 15 cities across both countries. The Irish carrier had said it was aiming to double that by 2025, however due to the global travel restrictions the airline now only serves three US destinations from Dublin – Boston, Chicago and JFK New York.
