In response to news of Ryanair’s rising fares due to supply issues of new Boeing planes, Julia Lo Bue-Said, CEO of The Advantage Travel Partnership, has issued a statement.
Julia Lo Bue-Said, CEO of The Advantage Travel Partnership, said: “The announcement that peak summer fares in Europe are likely to rise this year by up to 10% due to supply issues of new Boeing planes will likely be of concern to customers. Budgets are already tight due to the cost-of-living crisis and the cost of flying has already dramatically increased in recent years as a result of the pent-up demand and limited capacity we saw after the pandemic.”
Bue-Said continued, “However, the industry is highly competitive and there are always deals to be had if you shop around, and working with your local travel agent, who has access to a vast number of airlines and operators, will ensure you get access to the best value. At Advantage, we are already seeing really strong bookings for summer 2024, it’s clear that people are desperate to get away during the summer season with Majorca, Tenerife and Antalya being the top three destinations being booked.”
