CEO of The Advantage Travel Partnership, Julia Lo Bue-Said has issued a comment in response to flight disruptions spiking concerns about summer travel this year.
Julia Lo Bue-Said, CEO of The Advantage Travel Partnership, said “Disruption as a result of congested airspace and a shortage of controllers has caused some concerns about summer travel this year. The industry is made of many moving parts and navigating some of the issues outside of our control at exceptionally busy periods does put increased pressure on the entire ecosystem. However, it is important that airports are well staffed and that air traffic services provide enough capacity and that airports stick to their schedules to try and mitigate against any unnecessary disruption to travellers.

Ultimately, when it comes to booking summer holidays, we always advise booking with a travel agent. Agents have an incredible amount of knowledge and experience firstly in searching for the best deals available but also in helping customers with travel disruption and ensuring that they receive the compensation they are entitled to which is a complex and time-consuming task to do alone.”
