Young people are in luck this coming summer as two of the most popular destinations in Europe have joined forces to give away 60,000 free train tickets.
Those under 27 could be in luck this summer whilst travelling between France and Germany- The counties transport ministers announced the scheme will take place this summer to encourage travel between the two neighbours.
Speaking in a joint statement on Sunday (22nd January), Transport minister Beaune and Wissing said,
“To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty, 60,000 tickets will be made available free of charge, according to terms that will be specified shortly,”
Tickets will be divid evenly between the two countries and used much like the current interrail pass.
Details on how to apply have not been released yet.
