A UK Holidaymaker is one of the 41 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus on the Diamond Princess which had been quarantined. The total number of confirmed cases on board is now at 61.
The gentleman affected is believed to be Mr Alan Steele, from Wolverhampton, who has been issuing regular updates on Facebook, said he has been taken to hospital and that he is displaying no viable signs or symptoms of the virus thus far and could potentially just be a carrier at this stage.
The UK Department of Health has urged anyone who had arrived in the UK recently from nine destinations to self isolate if they appear to have symptoms associated with coronavirus, no matter how slight.
