156 passengers, including citizens from Ireland, UK, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Romania, Latvia and Denmark were repatriated to Ireland from Morocco following the suspension of flights to and from the country following concerns about the new Omicron variant.

The passengers arrived into Dublin Airport on the flight, operated by Ryanair.

Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs hailed the “great job” done by the newly opened embassy in Morocco.
