The number of departures is projected to hit 89% of 2019 levels, when 13,242 flights departed UK airports during the main summer getaway weekend

Departure numbers are 11% higher than the same weekend in 2022, and up 88% compared to 2021, showing a spike in outbound flights

Heathrow Airport will see the highest number of departures this weekend, followed by Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted and Edinburgh

The most popular international destinations for UK departures are projected to be Dublin, Amsterdam, Palma, Malaga and Alicante

easyJet is projected to offer the most flights across the weekend, followed by British Airways, Ryanair, Jet2 and Loganair.
