The Palm Beaches, renowned for 47 miles of sun-kissed coastline and a vibrant collection of activities, welcomes the arrival of spring with an exciting array of fresh new offerings. Embracing a period of remarkable expansion, The Palm Beaches has witnessed an impressive surge in investment, totalling over $500 million across a dozen hotels in recent months. Within the next two years, the destination is anticipating a total $1 billion collective investment, with 16 new properties in the pipeline, adding nearly 2,200 more rooms to the region.
Milton Segarra, CDME, president and CEO for Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB), the tourism marketing organisation for Palm Beach County, said: “The Palm Beaches are experiencing an unprecedented surge in development in the tourism industry, with significant investments injecting new energy and prosperity into our local economy.”
“The strong pipeline of growth is set to transform the hospitality landscape and elevate the region as we further accelerate the destination as a leader in Florida.”
What’s New in The Palm Beaches Spring 2024
Whether it’s a new and ambitious hotel concept or a historic property renovation, this year is set to see a wave of captivating new additions to The Palm Beaches’ hospitality scene.
On Singer Island, Amrit Ocean Resort is expected to open during summer 2024, featuring more than 100,000 square feet of spa and integrated health services across four floors, including the only indoor-outdoor Aayush hydrothermal experience of its kind. The organic, health-focused outlook is evident across all aspects of the resort from the sandy-hued neutral colours filling the interior to the mezze in the plant-based restaurant, “AYRE” by Celebrity Chef, Matthew Kenney.
Additionally, The Vineta Hotel is expected to open later this year in Palm Beach, just a stone’s throw from the legendary Worth Avenue. Paying homage to the hotel’s legacy, Oetker Collection will restore the Vineta name, which it held for more than five decades, heralding a refined new chapter in the property’s nearly 100-year history. Synonymous with Palm Beach chic, The Vineta’s rosy-hued façade and unbeatable location promises stylish opulence and the ultimate beachside retreat.
New Restaurants in a Hot Culinary Scene
In addition to new hotel openings, The Palm Beaches will see a range of exciting new additions to its culinary landscape in 2024, from picturesque rooftop bars to an authentic Italian restaurant.
Savour a taste of the high life in Elevate Skye Bar & Lounge, a new rooftop bar in Delray Beach, overlooking the beach and the city’s bustling Atlantic Avenue. This sophisticated open-air venue serves a menu of small plates such as Gulf shrimp and scallop ceviche as well as an array of meticulously crafted cocktails.
Alternatively, step into Radcliffe’s Speakeasy & Supper Club via the “secret alley entrance” behind The Wine Room, and discover the revival of a historic Delray hidden treasure. Blending a cosy, intimate atmosphere with the style and sophistication of a cocktail bar, Radcliffe’s offers a unique dining and entertainment experience, featuring live jazz and R&B performances alongside an eclectic, upscale menu.
Additionally, Boca Raton’s Restaurant Row welcomes Fiolina Pasta, a new establishment inspired by the tradition of female pasta makers in Italy. Deeply rooted in tradition and led by Chef Fabio Trabocchi, renowned for both Michelin stars and James Beard Awards, this charming eatery showcases authentic Italian dishes, from timeless classics to regional specialties, complemented by Italian cocktails and al fresco dining.
