NYC has had some major upgrades where visitors can enjoy over 115 cultural attractions and venues all year round.

New Tourism Updates

  • NYC Restaurant Week will return this summer from 20th July – 16th August, offering prix fixe menus at hundreds of eateries citywide.
  • The NYC Halal Travel Guide spotlights dining, accommodation and activity recommendations, including World Cup resources, for Muslim New Yorkers and visitors.
  • New and revamped neighborhood guides spotlighting local businesses.

Transportation Updates

NYC Ferry offers a fun, fast, and affordable way to explore NYC’s waterfront, connecting all five boroughs through twenty-five stops and views of landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. NYC’s John F. Kennedy International Airport is undergoing redevelopment of its terminal 6 which is scheduled to open in phases along with JetBlue renovating its terminal 5 which will feature more than forty new concessions.

Hotel Openings

  • Row NYC | Midtown Manhattan | May 2026
    The largest hotel on Eighth Avenue reopened on May 1 after a multiyear renovation. The redesigned property features 1,331 updated guest rooms, reimagined public spaces, and a new all-day café and bar called Percy All Day.
  • Kimpton Ashbel New York-Park Avenue | Midtown Manhattan | January 2026
    Housed in a restored 1928 Beaux-Arts building, the reimagined Kimpton property features a townhouse-inspired design by Busta Studio, along with the Park & Bel café and residential-style public spaces.
  • voco Times Square—Broadway | Midtown Manhattan | March 2026
    Located in the Theatre District, the hotel is the largest voco-branded hotel in North America. The 419-room hotel includes a lobby café, full-service restaurant, rooftop bar overlooking Times Square, and room service, along with family-style suites, bunk bedrooms, and king bedrooms.

  • Cherry Lane Theatre | West Village, Manhattan | September 8, 2025
    After a two-year renovation, the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, New York’s oldest continuously operating Off-Broadway theater, has officially reopened. Acquired by film studio A24 in 2022, the venue will host a theater, cinema, and live programming featuring a star-studded list of directors, producers, and actors.
  • Balloon Museum | Seaport, Manhattan | Summer 2026
    The Balloon Museum will open its US flagship at Pier 17, bringing large-scale immersive contemporary art installations to Lower Manhattan’s Seaport district.

    The New Museum has completed a 60,000-square-foot expansion, the institution’s first since opening its flagship building in 2007.
