Botanical Garden of Caguas, Puerto Rico

Puerto Rican gardens are an exquisite fusion of nature and art, and a perfect escape from urban life. The Botanical Garden of Caguas offers scenic strolls through Puerto Rico’s historical roots, housing archaeological artifacts that used to belong to Puerto Rican’s Taino ancestry, such as the remains of an old sugarcane factory. This tropical treasure is home to diverse fauna and flora and exquisite palm trees from around the world and visitors will be awed by the sweeping panoramic views of the garden from the picturesque waterlily filled pond.

Volksgarten, Vienna 

This peaceful paradise is located in the heart of one of the city’s busiest districts. Set close to the Hofburg Palace, the Volksgarten is the perfect place to linger and enjoy the gorgeous flower displays, fountains, hidden monuments and contemporary art installations. Like something out of Alice in Wonderland, guests can spend the day taking in the colours on the grounds near the historic Hofburg Palace. Garden of Gethsemane, Jerusalem

Located at the foot of the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane is the unique site where Jesus went with his disciples to pray after the Last Supper, according to Christian tradition and has since become one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Jerusalem. The striking garden is home to some of the oldest olive trees in the world as well as lush gardens, ancient trees and flourishing flower beds. Situated in Kandy’s suburb of Peradeniya, the spectacular Royal Botanical Garden dates back to 1371. Once enjoyed for pleasure by a Kandyan queen, this colourful garden became one of the greatest Botanical Gardens in the British Empire. With over 4,000 species of plants and spices, travellers can wonder amongst the exotic nature for hours on end. Encompassing over 60 hectares of designed lawns, pavilions and plant houses, this is the ultimate springtime haven. After an afternoon of taking in the florals guests can retreat back to their room at OZO Kandy, located only 10 minutes away by car.

The Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens, located in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore is the U.S.A.’s second oldest Victorian glass conservatory.
