However, Celebrity Cruises’ new ‘Adventure Index’, reveals that over half (53 per cent) try to fit in an adventure at least a few times a year and for seven per cent of thrill-hungry travellers, adventure has to be an everyday occurrence.
The results reveal a generational divide, with millennials the most likely to seek daily adventure and baby boomers most likely to be less adventurous.
The study, conducted among 2005 UK adults, found that nearly two-thirds (59 per cent) of respondents identified ‘travelling to new destinations’ as a source of excitement.
Celebrity Cruises’ ‘Adventure Index’ publishes on the day that its Global Destination Ambassador Ben Fogle launches his expanded Great Adventures – a collection of personally curated shore excursions.
