New Zen Garden at Seaham Hall

Five-star Seaham Hall, overlooking Durham's magnificent coastline, opens its eagerly-awaited Zen Garden in July 2018

Enter this lush, meditative space; find yourself escaping the madness of the modern world.

Short steps away from the hotel’s 44,000 sq ft, award-winning spa, experience an intimate Zen Garden in perfect symbiosis with the undulating local landscape. Fused in harmony with the peaceful Feng Shui design of the spa.

The infinity hydrotherapy pool, set in sumptuous green gardens, features swan neck jets and is surrounded by bespoke beds. You are invited here to drift and to dream, inhaling the fresh sea air and absorbing the warmth of the sun. When evening approaches, cosy up in one of the cocoon pods and wrap up warm with our luxurious fluffy blankets.

The clever fusion of contemporary natural elements and oriental Zen creates a unique feeling, unlike anywhere else in the North East.

Seaham Hall has just 21 individually-designed suites. The spa has a 20-metre pool, outdoor hot tubs, three new thermal rooms and a Pan-Asian restaurant, The Ozone. The hotel has a new restaurant, The Dining Room – an informal, organic, Scandi-style space, serving innovative and tasty food. Plus, there’s a 37-acre estate to explore.

Seaham Hall is under three hours by train from central London, and by car is just 20 minutes from Durham, 40 minutes from Newcastle, 90 minutes from Edinburgh and less than three hours from Manchester. The hotel’s close proximity to Newcastle is also ideal for those travelling from international destinations, via Newcastle airport and/or the North East Ferry Port.
