National Dog Day: THIS is The Best Dog-Friendly Beach in UK

Did your county's beach make the cut?

It’s no secret that dogs are a man’s best friend. National Dog Day was on Thursday (26 August 2021) and ShowersToYou.co.uk have put together a survey along with NI Travel News to find the best rated dog-friendly beaches in the UK!

After searching high and low, ShowersToYou.co.uk scored these beaches below out of 10 in relation to how dog-friendly they really are:

Coming in at 1st place was Durdle Door  in  Dorset  which scored an impressive 9.30.

In 2nd place we have Cuckmere Haven Beach in  East Sussex  scoring a 9.13.

Man O’War Beach in Dorset came in at 3rd with an overall score of 8.99.

Honourable mentions go to Three Cliffs Bay Glamorgan ,Longsands North Tynemouth    Tyne and Wear  and  Yellowcraig  Lothian who placed 4th,5th and 6th.

Marloes Sands  Pembrokeshire, Seacliff Lothian, Bosta Beach Hebrides  and Porth Joke Cornwall also made the top 10 list.

With Devon coming in at top place, it was no surprise for the county also known as ‘Mother Nature’s playground’ In total, a whopping 22 beaches out of 151 making the rankings.

Pembrokeshire came in at a close second with 21 beaches also gracing the list.

An honourably ,Cornwall places third with a total of 14 highly rated dog-friendly beaches.
