Most Underrated Beaches

According to TripAdvisor data, the least known, most glorious sands in Spain, France and Italy are Playa Muchavista, Paris Saint-Guirec and Bagno Maurizio respectively

With summer holiday season getting into gear at last and air corridors set to be announced between the UK, Spain, France and Italy this week, new research from CV Villas reveals each country’s most underrated beaches to visit for a perfect post-lockdown holiday.

CV Villas crunched the data of over 800 Spanish, French and Italian beaches to find those which are most loved but least reviewed on TripAdvisor. The data reveals that Spain’s Playa Muchavista is the most underrated beach of the trio of countries beloved by British sun-seekers, with 93% excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. This glorious stretch of sandy coastline is located in El Campello, just outside of Alicante and was described as one reviewer as: “Very clean beach with plenty of space… the sea is very clear and really warm, ideal to cool off on hot sunny days. My favourite beach ever!”

  7. Bolonia Beach – 70.6%

Italy boasts an abundance of beautiful beaches, coves and bays, providing plenty of quieter seaside options. Bagno Maurizio ranks as Italy’s most loved, lesser-known beach and as one of the only beaches you need to pay to access, it’s no surprise.
