Four Must-Do Immersive Experiences in Toronto

This summer, a range of new immersive experiences are making their way to downtown Toronto

From watching a Toronto Blue Jays game under the summer skies, admiring Toronto from above at the CN Tower, cycling on the Toronto Islands, or even tucking in to some street food from one of the city’s markets or food trucks, the sightseeing options are as diverse as the city itself.

This summer, a range of new immersive experiences are making their way to the city, some of which are making their North American debut in downtown Toronto.

Immerse yourself in The World of Barbie

Become a true “Barbie girl living in a Barbie world” as you step inside the immersive World of Barbie experience kicking off in Toronto this summer. Pops of pinks and hues of blues throughout the themed Barbie house, and Barbie fans will go wild for the opportunity to step inside her famed camper van. Bob Marley One Love Experience

Making its North American debut in Toronto, Bob Marley fans can step inside six distinct rooms – including the One Love Forest, the Music Room and the Soul Shakedown Studio – for a completely immersive experience. View never-before-seen photographs and memorabilia while taking a multi-sensory journey through his life – enjoy a swing in the One Love Forest or just take in the scents and sounds and wander backstage at a Bob Marley concert. Robert Lepage’s The Library at Night

A virtual experience that whisks visitors to ten libraries – real or imagined – around the world to discover what happens when the lights dim and the doors close. Virtually step inside the National Library of Sarajevo to the Alexandria Library in Egypt, Japan’s Hesedera Temple and Canada’s Library of Parliament to find what lingers after hours. Canadian actor and renowned actor/director Robert Lepage created this virtual experience, inspired by Alberto Manguel’s book of the same name. The Library at Night is offered in association with the Luminato Festival.

Take a yoga class at the Immersive Frida Kahlo

Transport to the streets and plazas of Mexico City during a virtual 75-minute morning yoga class inside the Immersive Frida Kahlo experience. If the changing images don’t transport you to Mexico’s plazas, the music certainly will. If a European vacation is more in order, opt for yoga at the Van Gogh exhibit.
