This Caribbean gem boasts unrivalled geographic diversity, including El Yunque (the only rainforest in the US national forest system), 270 miles of pristine coastline, natural thermal springs in Coamo and three of the world’s five bioluminescent bays. For vivacious, party-loving travellers, Carnaval Ponceño is a vibrant explosion of colour and music set on the Island’s idyllic south coast and attended by over 100,000 people each year. The celebrations take place the week before Ash Wednesday, and carnival-goers can expect a stunning showcase of dancing, impressive floats and striking costumes, as well as a feast of traditional Puerto Rican fare, including mofongo (fried plantains).

Bermuda

Taking place on June 13-18, 2024, this event encapsulates the true spirit of the island. It is perfect for those looking for an exciting getaway filled with colour, beaches, music, and incredible food. This four-day event celebrates Bermudian Culture through an abundance of feathers, flags, paint, powder, live performances, top DJs, sunrise fetes, boat cruises, and, importantly, the main event, Revel the Road; a lively parade filled with colourful costumes, dancing in the streets, and incredible music. This year, Carnival in Bermuda introduces two noteworthy initiatives.

The Carnival Connections school outreach program aims to engage the younger generation, sharing the cultural richness and traditions of Carnival in Bermuda while also sharing their commitment to education, culture, fitness, and community involvement. The island hopes to inspire children to be happy, be fit, and encourage the next generation of local entertainers. Additionally, the family-friendly Harbour Nights ‘Family Fete’ event, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, has been added to the lineup, providing an inclusive space for all to enjoy the festivities.
