Blending a rich tapestry of African, Caribbean, Portuguese, British and Native American influences, Bermuda boasts a gloriously diverse cuisine

Blending a rich tapestry of African, Caribbean, Portuguese, British and Native American influences, Bermuda boasts a gloriously diverse cuisine. The unique mix of tastes, textures and traditions that infuse Bermudian food work in conjunction with the island’s bountiful natural resources, from seafood to native tropical plants and fruits. This September, Bermuda is host to two exciting food festivals that celebrate the best of the Bermudian cuisine, providing the perfect opportunity for travellers and locals alike to feast in style.

St. George’s Seafood Festival

September 17th, 2023

Enjoy the best seafood Bermuda has to offer, all in one place. Taking place on Ordnance Island with St. George’s Harbour as a backdrop, visitors to this food fest can try the fresh caught fish such as wahoo, rockfish and red hind, unique Bermudian dishes like the curried mussel pie and turbot wings, seafood boils and of course the island’s signature Spiny Lobster. Enjoy local entertainment and a family fun area as you savour the food and festival atmosphere. Book the VIP experience for an exclusive menu, waterside seating, and open bar option.

Swizzle Fest

September 24th, 2023

Like the island itself, the Bermuda rum swizzle is a delightful blend of colourful flavours that pack an unforgettable punch. This September, a collective of Swizzle makers will come together for the first ever Bermuda Swizzle Festival, at Barr’s Bay Park, a picturesque harbour-side setting on the edge of the City. Guests are invited on a taste journey, sampling various interpretations of the classic Bermuda Rum Swizzle, as well as swizzle-infused products from popsicles to swizzle-inspired cakes from Bermuda Rum Cake Company. Local performers will elevate the vibe for a memorable end-of-summer experience; while the lineup is yet to be announced, if last year’s festival is anything to go by, island favourites such as Silver City, Working Title and DJ Mystro will bring the island vibe to this year’s party.
