Danse Macabre – The creepy new ride set to be the first of its kind

Autumn 2024 will see the opening of brand-new attraction, Danse Macabre. Named after the famous piece of music by Camille Saint-Saëns, a new immersive ride will open as part of an entirely new creepy area at the park. The attraction will be the first ride of its kind in the world with a unique mechanic, offering an immersive thrill-ride experience for visitors, a haunted spectacle full of dark twists, a great addition to the spectacular assortment of existing rides at Efteling. 

Accessible, affordable and convenient

Efteling’s accessibility makes it the perfect May half-term adventure for families seeking a short break. Reachable by car, train or plane – families across the UK can easily reach the enchanting grounds and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Families looking to make the most of their time at Efteling and enjoy all that the park has to offer, can book an overnight stay in Efteling’s wide range of accommodation options.  Many of Efteling Hotel’s rooms and suites have been designed with unique fairytale-themed interiors, adding to the enchanting experience for children and ensuring the family adventure lives long in their memory. Other self-catering options include Efteling Bosrijk and Efteling Loonsche Land nestled amongst the woodland. In 2025, Efteling Grand Hotel, the first hotel within the park gates, will open its doors. Spanning seven floors, the hotel will contain a swimming pool with spa facilities and two restaurants and will contain an additional 140 rooms.
