Discover Your Quirky Side with Unusual Things to do in Fermanagh

County Fermanagh is bursting with quirky things to see and do and over the coming weeks there are even more special events than usual to experience

From Segway tours to E-bikes, there is something for everyone and these activities are the perfect way to round off your summer holiday with the kids and treat them to a last minute day out or weekend away. Alternatively why not enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with your best friends or mum against the historical backdrop of Castle Coole.

Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism is encouraging people to try out some the new activities available:

Segway around the Lakeland County:

For something really different, try the new Segway Tours which are available to take around Crom Estate, Florence Court and Killyfole Lough.  The tours are an ideal way to experience the beautiful Fermanagh scenery whilst having tonnes of fun with family or friends. To book, call 028 677 51416. Prices are £30 per adult and children are £25 for under 12. Children must be 8 years and over. Helmets are provided and an instructor will be present at all times.

Launch of new E-bike tours:

Why not take an e-bike tour around Fermanagh where you can explore the wilderness, cruise along old bog roads and forest tracks and take in the scenery at Lough Macnean.

These exciting new tours are the only one of their kind available in Northern Ireland and experiences available include 3 and 4 day packages. The weekend package includes 2 nights’ accommodation in self-catering cottages on the shores of Lough MacNean and a full day experience on electric mountain bikes, guided by a qualified cycle leader. Packages start from only £120 per person.

Afternoon Tea with a difference:

Castle Coole is offering an afternoon tea with a difference with the Queen Anne Afternoon Tea experience. To celebrate national #AfternoonTeaWeek on Friday 17 August at 2pm, Castle Coole will offer a delicious afternoon tea set against the stunning backdrop of the stately home for only £20 per person.
Visitors will also enjoy a guided tour of the estate which gives a deeper look into the history behind the original Queen Anne site.

Creatures and Crafts at Crom Estate:
Crom Estate on the shores of Upper Lough Erne plays hosts to a range of different events this month.  They have organised a ‘Creatures of Crom’ event every Thursday in August at 2.30pm – enjoy a tour by the ranger and learn about what lives and lurks around the Crom Estate.  Then on Saturday 25 August from 1-5pm, see the Lough Erne Heritage Society on the water using traditional wooden crafts as they take part in their annual Regatta.
