Dalriada 2019 – One To Remember

This year the day was a scorcher and the acts were equally as fiery says Northern Ireland Travel News contributor Hannah Delaney after she spent the day at the Dalriada Festival

Northern Ireland Travel News contributor Hannah Delaney was impressed with the line-up at this year’s Dalriada Festival…

With beautiful landscapes surrounding a historical, bespoke castle, Glenarm Castle and Walled Gardens in the perfect setting for the Dalriada Festival each year in July.

This year was a scorcher and the acts were equally as fiery. Peter Andre headlined on Saturday night, preforming crowd favourites from Queen, Michael Jackson and many more along with a few of his own hits, Mysterious Girl finished the night with everyone up on their feet – if they weren’t already. Fleur East finishing the festival off on Sunday night in style.

The festival was jam-packed with exhilarating activities for the whole family to enjoy, from fairground rides, to live performances in many different areas throughout the day, everyone one is sure to find something they love.

For the littlest family members, the activities are endless and many are free to enjoy and wholesome, good fun, such as the welly boot toss, Tractor Teds bouncy castles, the Paw Patrol gang’s performance with the opportunity to take your picture with the gang afterwards, WWE Wrestling with meet and greet and so much more.

For those who like to relax there are plenty of unique seating possibility’s, you can lounge out on the hammocks or take a seat beside the campfire or even with a short stroll through the walled garden you can rest your feet at the top of the festival grounds and take it all in. With great food, scenery and entertainment all around there really was something for everyone.

Each year this festival just keeps getting better and it’s easy to see why festival goers come back year after year. The atmosphere is so lively and inclusive it’s a struggle not to feel a part of the magic when you are there, the festival welcomes everyone with open arms and I cannot wait to go again next July.
