Hummus Abu Hassan is perhaps Tel Aviv’s most popular hummus restaurant, drawing a huge crowd of locals over and over again. The hummus is first served early in the morning and plates continue to be devoured until around 3pm. For a real local experience, order the ‘masabacha’ – another version of hummus topped off with chickpeas, aquafaba and other trimmings.

Mashawasha is a sunny, adorable café-style hummus joint located just off Bograshov street. ‘Mashawasha’ is a style of hummus that includes whole chickpeas, giving texture to the classic version.
