President John F. Kennedy’s vision challenged the nation to land a man on the moon before the end of the 1960s. This inspired one of the greatest mobilisations of resources and manpower in U.S. history. Just eight years after his directive, on July 20, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the first steps on the moon. This stunning achievement inspired American innovation and prestige, both at home and abroad.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is dedicated to the memory of the thirty-fifth US president and to all those who through the art of politics seek a new and better world.

Located on a ten-acre park, overlooking the sea that he loved and the city that launched him to greatness, the Library stands as a vibrant tribute to the life and times of John F. Kennedy.

Tour the Museum which portrays the life, leadership, and legacy of President Kennedy, conveys his enthusiasm for politics and public service, and illustrates the nature of the office of the President.
