Successful Balkan Ski Fam to Bulgaria
Northern Ireland Travel News were guests of Travel Solutions last week and able to sample the local tour operator's ever expanding Balkan Ski programme to Bulgaria.
Flying on the company's own Thomas Cook-chartered aircraft to Plovdiv - 220 full seats - the group stayed in the resorts of Pamporovo and Borovets.
Accommodation was in the Snezhanka Hotel, Pamporovo with the wonderful Dak's Bar in close proximity providing great down time after a hard day on the slopes.
The ski school is perfect for the beginner and the progression of the first time skiers on the trip was amazing, with all agents completing their first full run after day 2, as well as having lots of fun on the Ringos and Skidos.
Agents were also treated to great dining experiences in the Hotel Orlovets, with its impressive Sky Bar, and the Gloria Mar restaurant, giving a flavour of the much improved fare now on offer in Bulgaria and very much in evidence throughout the week.
The party transferred to Borovets for the last few days of the trip allowing the group to try out more challenging slopes and a greater range of restaurants and bars in close proximity to the party's base in the Samokov Hotel.
Throughout the week the agents were very impressed with their experience of the Balkan Ski product, the staff in the resort and the quality of the whole package on offer. Some agents now have the ski bug and said they will be returning themselves next year. However they would need to book early as next year's dates are filling up fast - and this is understandable given the experience of Northern Ireland Travel News on the trip. Bulgaria ski packages are available from both Belfast and Dublin - see travel-solutions.co.uk.
Well done to Julie, Peter and the Balkan Ski team for a great experience from start to finish.
