Chinese Tourist Welcome Guaranteed by Stena Line

Leading ferry company, Stena Line, has become the first passenger ferry company in Europe to achieve the Chinese Tourist Welcome (CTW) Certification which is officially recognised by tour operators in China and Europe.

The CTW Certification is the official travel service standard and travel platform recognised by the China Tourism Academy (CTA), China's main governmental research and promotion institute, under the Chinese National Tourism Authority (CNTA).



LA Route Operator Supporting Irish Games Team

Ethiopian Airlines says it is "delighted and proud" to sponsor the team representing Ireland in the 2017 World Police and Fire Games in Los Angeles.

The event will see over 8,000 athletes representing Fire and Police Departments from more than 65 countries compete in 65 Olympic-Style sports.



Turkish Resort 'Cheapest Family Beach Holiday' - New Report

The Turkish resort of Marmaris has been named the cheapest destination when it comes to the cost of beach holiday 'extras' on a family holiday.

According to the latest Post Office Travel Money Family Holiday Report published today, Marmaris was found to be the cheapest of 15 popular resorts surveyed with eastern Europe and the Balkans faring best for value.



New Ski Flights to Salzburg and Verona is giving skiers across Northern Ireland a piste of the action, by reintroducing ski flights for Winter 2017/18 from Belfast International Airport.

The leading leisure airline will fly direct from Belfast International to Salzburg and, for the first time, Verona this winter.



Ryanair Profits Soar - But Again Warns of Brexit Uncertainty

Profits at Ryanair grew 55 per cent to almost 400 million Euro in the three months to the end of June.

But the airline has again warned of uncertainty ahead over Brexit and Open Skies over Europe, saying it could be forced to cancel flights or to move some of its UK-based aircraft to Continental Europe after April 2019.



New Newcastle Service Starts in September

Eastern Airways is launching a new convenient non-stop service from Belfast City Airport to Newcastle. From September 1, 2017, the UK regional airline will provide a daily weekday service from the heart of the city to the North East of England.

Earlier this year Eastern Airways started its first ever scheduled services from Belfast City Airport by securing the future of the Isle of Man link with Northern Ireland, following the liquidation of Citywing.



AirWaves Set to Transform Way Agents Book Fly/Cruises

RCL Cruises has been previewing a new technology platform to agents ahead of a comprehensive trial with over 350 travel partners.

'AirWaves' is an industry changing booking platform that will allow agents to dynamically book fly/cruise packages with greater ease, flexibility and security than ever before.



ABTA Cautions Government on Credit Card Move

ABTA has commented on the Government announcement that "rip-off charges have no place in a modern Britain and that’s why card charging in Britain is about to come to an end".

ABTA says it agrees that people should not be charged excessive fees when paying by card.



Airport Makes Business Development Appointments

Belfast International Airport has made two new appointments to its Business Development Department, in light of growing passenger numbers and a significant increase in routes.


Barry Jackson (pictured) has been appointed as External Relations Manager.

Multi-Million Pound Investment in Irish Sea Ferries

Stena Line's parent company has confirmed a multi-million pound investment package to acquire the Superfast VII and Superfast VIII ferries which operate on its Belfast-Cairnryan route.

The ships currently operate under a charter contract agreement with AS Tallink Grupp and have done since they were deployed on the Belfast-Cairnryan route when it opened in November 2011.
