To protect the airfield, signage has been mounted on the airport's perimeter fence indicating that Dublin Airport is a No Drone Zone and highlighting that it is illegal to operate a drone in the vicinity of the airport.

Work Begins on £2.5 million on New BIAL Retail and Forecourt

Work has begun on the new £2.5 million retail, food hall and fuel forecourt at Belfast International Airport.

The contract to build on the 1.6-acre site was awarded to building and civil engineering contractors, RJ McKelvey Ltd of Castlederg, County Tyrone.

Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport increased by 11.5 per cent in 2016, making Dublin the leading performer among the top tier of European airports.

No Word of How Cook Closures will Affect NI

It has still not been confirmed if Thomas Cook will close any of its Northern Ireland stores following the announcement that it is set to shut 39 of its retail stores across the UK.

The move comes after the operator closed 28 high street stores between October and December last year.
