Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has announced a new series of cruises from Plymouth

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has announced a new series of cruises from Plymouth next Summer. It is the first time the company will sail from the port. There are five holiday alternatives planned on board CMV’s elegant liner Marco Polo. Fares will start from just £69pp for an overnight weekend from Plymouth to Portsmouth with the opportunity to travel back by coach to Plymouth post-cruise.

Mike Hall, Marketing Director at CMV said: “We are delighted to put Plymouth on our cruise map, for our first operating season in 2021. We appreciate that many of our passengers prefer to cruise from their own local port, so our focus on regionality is key. Passengers in the local area can take advantage of less travel time and the expense of having to journey further afield to start the holiday.”

Marco Polo is a smaller traditional style cruise ship and is very popular with British cruise passengers with a high repeat level. The 2021 cruise selection includes:- A six-night cruise 19 August gives time to relax and providing the weather is good circumnavigate the Isles of Wight and a chance to view the Bournemouth Air Show before sailing along the River Seine to Rouen, France.

25 August sail this time to discover four exciting cities on a 7-night cruise visiting Antwerp, Rouen, Honfleur and Rotterdam. Outstanding memories are due in Rotterdam as Marco Polo will lead all seven ships in the CMV fleet in a special parade to celebrate the Rotterdam Regatta.

On 1 September a 10-nights cruise travels South visiting Spain, Portugal and Morocco offering a good mix of contrasting places.

An opportunity to try cruising with an overnight voyage along to Portsmouth 11 September.

The final offer from Plymouth is a 14-nights cruise departing 12 September travelling to six Baltic cities plus, the highlight of an overnight call into St Petersburg together with a transit of the Kiel Canal before returning to Portsmouth (return coach available).

The fares quoted are based on two people sharing a twin inner cabin and include delicious full board cuisine, afternoon teas and late-night snacks, Captain’s Cocktail Party, complimentary tea & coffee 6am to midnight, big show entertainment, cabarets and classical interludes, daytime activities and leisure facilities, guest speaker and arts & crafts, porterage of luggage, port to cabin and port taxes.
