easyJet Announces Plans for Expansion at Belfast International

easyJet has confirmed a milestone for expansion at its Belfast base, with the introduction of an A320 aircraft - the sixth aircraft to be positioned at the airline's Northern Ireland base.

The aircraft is scheduled for delivery on June 22, 2018 and will remain based in Belfast throughout the year.

MONARCH AIRLINES IN ADMINISTRATION - ALL FLIGHTS CANCELLED!

As a result of the insolvency proceedings, Monarch Airlines is no longer able to fly as its Air Operating Certificate has been suspended.

Consequently, all flights operated by Monarch Airlines from the UK, and all future holidays booked with Monarch Travel Group, are cancelled with immediate effect. Monarch will not be able to reschedule these flights or holidays.

CAA 'Expedites Enforcement Action' Against Ryanair Over Chaos

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has today launched enforcement action against Ryanair "for persistently misleading passengers with inaccurate information regarding their rights in respect of its recent cancellations."

Earlier this month, following Ryanair's decision to cancel many thousands of flights, the UK CAA wrote to Ryanair to clarify their legal obligations, and the CAA sought assurances around how and when the airline would re-route passengers onto alternative flights.

Northern Ireland travellers will not be able to book flights to Gatwick and vice versa after Saturday, October 28 until the summer schedule resumes on Sunday, March 25.
