Balkan Holds Prices Despite Drop in Value of Sterling

Balkan Holidays is featuring new resorts in Croatia and Montenegro, new hotel choices in Bulgaria, Croatia and Montenegro, plus a lead-in price of just £199 per person in its Summer 2018 main brochure featuring Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, which goes on sale October 17.

The operator is also holding prices on 'hundreds' of summer holidays for summer 2018, despite the drop in the value of the pound.

Royal Caribbean Attracting Much Younger Generation of Cruisers

Leading cruise line Royal Caribbean has revealed new research demonstrating its impact on cruise industry growth by attracting a younger generation of new-to-cruise families.

While the average age of UK and Ireland passengers taking cruise holidays has dropped to 55 years old - the lowest in six years - the average adult age of a Royal Caribbean new-to-cruise family guest is just 42 - more than 13 years younger than the industry average.

Highest Proportion of UK Population in Six Years Holidaying Overseas

Brexit - what Brexit? The highest number of average overseas holidays taken per person since 2011 and the largest proportion of the UK population taking a holiday since 2011, are just two of new stand-out figures released by ABTA despite the uncertainty of the Brexit effect on travel.

ABTA's new research reveals that the average number of holidays taken per person per year has grown to 3.8, an increase of 0.4 on last year.

Novel Free Fuel Offer for Irish Sea Ferry Travellers

P&O Ferries is offering customers in Northern Ireland £15 worth of fuel for free to help them explore Scotland, in what is believed to be the first offer of its kind on the Irish Sea.

Motorists who book before October 26 are eligible to take advantage of the free fuel and can travel on up to seven sailings a day from Larne to Cairnryan between now and the end of 2017.

No Danger of Further Ryanair Roster-Related Cancellations

Ryanair has issued an update on its progress in dealing with customers affected by its recent raft of flight disruptions - and has claimed that customers can now book flights again "confident that there is no danger of further roster related flight cancellations."

Said Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO): "Ninety nine per cent of the customers affected by cancellations in September and October have now been re-accommodated, and the remaining one per cent (less than 4,000 customers) are urged to get in contact regarding their rebooking or refunding options.
