Cathay Pacific to Operate Dublin-Hong Kong from June

One of the world's top long haul airlines is to operate a new direct service from Dublin to Hong Kong four times per week from next June.

The new year-round service will be Dublin Airport's first ever direct route to the Asia-Pacific region and is a major coup for the airport.

Replace Open Skies by Autumn Next Year or Else - O'Leary

Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has reiterated that a new agreement replacing the present Open Skies policy for air travel in the EU must be in place by this time next year when airlines have to plan their schedules for summer 2019.

Belfast Culture Night to Spread Its Wings

More than 100,000 people expected at over 300 events across the width and breadth of Belfast City Centre in the single biggest evening in Belfast's cultural calendar - as guests discovered today at the packed programme launch for Culture Night Belfast 2017 at the Bear and Doll.

Now in its ninth year, Culture Night Belfast will take place on Friday, September 22 from noon to late.

More Flights to Geneva This Winter

Easyjet has announced an increase to the frequency of its flights between Belfast and Geneva during the winter period, by adding an extra flight per week.

Flights will now operate up to four times a week in the winter period. The extra flight will commence on December 16, 2017.

Low-cost airline Norwegian will celebrate its 15th birthday this weekend and has launched a special sale giving holidaymakers the chance to bag a bargain transatlantic break, with flights to the US from just £99/99 Euro one-way.

The celebratory fares include six routes from Ireland, including Belfast with the sale lasting three weeks, starting today (August 29) until September 18.

Spanish Fares Cut by Ryanair to 'Keep People Moving'

Ryanair has cut ticket prices for its flights to Spain to avoid any impact on demand from the recent terrorist attacks in Catalonia, the airline's CEO Michael O'Leary said.

He said that Ryanair, the largest carrier to Spain in terms of passengers, had "generally" not seen any impact on bookings to the country since Islamist militants killed 15 people last week in Barcelona and the seaside resort of Cambrils in Catalonia, northeastern Spain.
