Long Meadow Cider's contract with HMSHost International, the leading provider of food and beverage outlets in over 100 airports worldwide, was secured following the company's Blossom Burst Cider beating over 70 local suppliers to be named Northern Ireland’s 'Best' local food and drink product in a competition launched by Belfast City Airport in partnership with Food NI earlier this year.

Alexa, Ask United to Check Me in for My Flight

United Airlines becomes the first US airline to offer an Alexa skill for customers to learn about flight status and on board amenities as well as to check in.

The new United skill for Amazon Alexa allows customers to use their Alexa-enabled devices, such as the Amazon Echo and the Amazon Echo Dot, to check in and ask a variety of questions about flights.

Name Irish Ferries New Big Ship to Win Free Travel for Life!

Irish Ferries is encouraging members of the public to have their say on the name that they think could be given to their new 55,000 tonnes, €144 million cruise ferry, which is currently under construction in Germany and is due for launch next Summer.

The invitation seeks the public’s involvement in suggesting a big, Irish, literary sized name to go on the biggest ferry ever on the Irish Sea, that the company says: ‘conveys a sense of Ireland and our country’s literary past in a way that would have a proud and emotional appeal to Irish people, tourists and freight customers alike’.

Ryanair Axes Free 10kg Carry-On Bags

From November 1, only passengers who have purchased Priority Boarding will be allowed to bring a free 10kg carry-on bag onboard Ryanair flights.

All "non-priority" customers must check their 10kg piece of hand baggage into the hold at the boarding gates. The 10kg bags can be checked free of charge.

Ferry Company's Two Month Campaign to Support Mercy Ships

A key part of the campaign will see Stena Line customers being given the opportunity to choose to buy coffee or tea in a special Mercy Ships mug where 20p will be donated directly to Mercy Ships.
