Four Times Weekly Service from Dublin to Montreal

Dublin Airport has welcomed the news that Air Canada will launch a four times weekly direct service to Montreal next summer.

The airline also announced that it will increase capacity on its Vancouver service by 65 per cent next year with the addition of two extra flights offering a five times weekly service for summer 2018.

easyJet Launches New Connections Service

easyJet has launched 'Worldwide by easyJet' - the first global airline connections service by a European low fares airline.

Legacy airlines have traditionally offered connectivity through costly and complex interline and codeshare agreements and procedures – with Worldwide by easyJet these will be replicated by self-connect and sales partnerships through a digital, virtual hub which will offer the same sort of connectivity but more simply and efficiently.

Icelandair Revolutionises In-flight Entertainment at 35,000 Feet

This September Icelandair has pioneered a new form of in-flight entertainment; an immersive theatre production entitled ‘Ahead of Time’ to mark the airline’s 80th year.

Airline staff and actors starred in the production in the skies on a flight from London to New York.

Two Thirds of NI Travellers Pay Fees for Overpacking

With UK air traffic set to remain high as holidaymakers seek October breaks and winter sun, new research into packing habits has revealed that UK travellers routinely overpack their luggage - wasting money on unnecessary excess charges.

When surveyed two thirds (66 per cent) were found to pack items in their hold luggage that they didn't end up using while abroad.

Highest Number of Larne Ferry Travellers in 14 Years

P&O Ferries saw the highest number of tourists in 14 years travelling between Larne and Cairnryan on its ships in August, with passenger volumes for the month up seven per cent.

The ferry and logistics company - which has operated services across the Irish Sea since 1974 - carried 65,296 tourists between Northern Ireland and Scotland in August, which is traditionally the busiest month of the summer season.

'Recliners' Cause Most Annoyance to Other Airline Travellers

Over a third of UK travellers admit that fellow airline passengers who recline their seats too far back are the most likely to cause annoyance.

In a new survey of almost 5,000 people, 37 per cent regarded selfish passengers who reclined their seats too much as the biggest irritation, with travellers who kick the back of the seat coming in second.

Belfast International Airport Targets Travellers from The Republic!

Belfast International Airport is embarking on Phase Two of a major advertising campaign aimed at attracting more passengers from the Republic of Ireland.

The hard-hitting advertisements directed at persuading passengers away from Dublin Airport will appear in local newspapers and radio stations throughout the six southern border counties.

WOW air has announced a new route from Dublin to Dallas, Texas, via Reykjavik.
